30,000 m² at the service of health
The urban hospital of Yopougon is built on 30,000m² of land and has a total of 508 beds. Teams built several facilities on the building’s various floors. The basement is outfitted with a laundry room, a cleaning unit, a boiler room, kitchens and an archive area. The ground floor includes medical and surgery facilities with a central operating theatre and an obstetrical unit. Provision was also made for an area for hosting families, then floors dedicated exclusively for patients.
The building features bespoke technical aspects, with floors built on-site using an inflatable air-cushion concrete system.
